We were glad to honor doctoral student Collin Lehmann with an award for the exceptional and compassionate volunteer service he gave here at Schenley Gardens as part of the University of Pittsburgh Community Alliance Program. The time and care given by him and students like him are a wonderful gift to our community!

Today we honor and thank our Veterans for their service and dedication to our country. Thank you to Bethany Hospice for your pinning ceremony and presentation, making it extra special. Each Veteran was also presented with a handmade afghan by B&T Hedgepeth (relatives of one of our intergenerational students).

Today we welcomed students from the OT and PT program at Chatham University and area seniors to talk with residents about optimum aging and ageism. Great topic and discussions were had, which is another reason why we love our intergenerational connections.

We shared a lovely dinner with student volunteers from the University of Pittsburgh Community Alliance Program! These students will be providing activities and services for our community, so it was a great opportunity to get to know them!

This weekend the Vincentian Schenley Gardens team walked to support Efforts to find a cure of Alzheimer’s.
The 2025 walk in Pittsburgh has had a record breaking year! So glad to be part of a great cause!
