The north of Thailand 🇹🇭 is really amazing. Chiang Mai, Pai, and Chiang Rai. Pai was my absolute favorite. Beautiful scenery, and much cooler than the rest of the country. Many mountains, rivers, and waterfalls.

♥️ Wow 💥 💫 STORY TIME:

THAILAND REALLY IS THE LAND OF SMILES

A mom noticed my TRAVEL DORTORx shirt and she asked me if I was an American Doctor ?

I replied Yes ‼️

She asked me where I went to school, and I said: “many places, but most recently I enthusiastically replied: HARVARD” ‼️ 🛡️

She smiled & told me her daughter was applying to Stanford and asked me to read two different college essays due tomorrow and give my input on which is better.

They were very powerful and beautiful. The essays were about how originating in China, once her father realized his wife was having a girl, he left and did not want her. The culture she came from really prioritized Boys.

The story was about the resilience of her “Waipo” (maternal grandmother) and mother with parable wisdom passed down in a beautiful way. For a young person, this college aspirant has done so much with her life already.

Her future is very bright. she is planning on majoring in feminism and women’s studies. 💪🏾
