Open Up Open Up teaches mindfulness through arts and movement, centering people living with disabilities. Our programs are for everyone!

Open Up, teaches yoga movement and improv mindfulness with many different collaborative partner organizations throughout the region and excels at tailoring these classes for those who benefit from adaptations and modifications of instruction in particular. While yoga and improv are two separate disciplines, they both welcome fun, growth and deeper self-knowledge. Classes in yoga focus on bringing

levity and joy to exercises that focus on wellness with movement and breath. Classes in improv/theater games focus on the social and therapeutic benefits of interactive games. All can be tailored to your family, community and individualized needs!

Last week, our students "sprang" into Spring Break Camp! The students created flower vases, clay affirmation bugs, a rain shaker, and zentangles! They also practiced mindful movement games including bug yoga, garden yoga, guess the nature/rain sounds, and rainbow yoga with scarves! 🌱🌷🐝

These imaginative crafts and mindful activities help give students the tools to navigate emotions and practice mindful social interactions. We're proud to offer programming for children with and without disabilities, thanks to our staff who are trained to make our programs accessible for all. 🌼🌸

We were proud to present The Connected Classroom at this year’s 5th Annual Regional Education Conference! Open Up staff Chandler and Megan joined a room full of educators, school support professionals, and program providers to share what we’re seeing every day: when mindfulness is meaningfully embedded into school environments, everything shifts.

From improved focus and emotional regulation to stronger relationships and a greater sense of safety and belonging, the impact is real and undeniable. Together, we explored practical, accessible ways to bring these tools into classrooms and school communities.

We’re grateful to be part of a growing movement of educators committed to creating more connected, responsive, and supportive learning environments.
