EDCHC in partnership with Mountain Valley Health Plan and El Dorado County Public Health, is opening a new dental clinic in South Lake Tahoe at the Bijou Shopping Center (3443 Lake Tahoe Blvd, Suite 2) on Monday, October 20, 2025.
The clinic will offer affordable, high-quality dental care for children, adults, and seniors — including preventive and restorative services — and will accept Medi-Cal and offer a Sliding Fee Discount Program for those who qualify.
This collaboration helps remove barriers to care and ensures local residents have better access to essential dental services.

🦷 New Dental Clinic Opening in South Lake Tahoe!
Thanks to a strong partnership between El Dorado Community Health Centers (EDCHC), Health Plan of San Joaquin/Mountain Valley Health Plan, and El Dorado County Public Health, a new dental clinic will officially open on October 20, 2025, at 3443 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

This new clinic will help address critical gaps in local dental care by providing affordable, accessible preventive and restorative services for children, adults, and seniors — especially for Medi-Cal recipients and underserved families.

💰 Supported by grants totaling $900,000, the clinic will feature up to 7 dental stations and aims to serve up to 400 patients per month. Services will include exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, extractions, limited root canals, and more.

🌟 With bilingual staff, easy access by bus, and a commitment to equitable care, this new clinic is a major step toward improving oral health for the South Lake Tahoe community.

Gracias a una sólida asociación entre El Dorado Community Health Centers (EDCHC), Mountain Valley Health Plan y El Dorado County Public Health, se abrirá oficialmente una nueva clínica dental el 20 de octubre de 2025 en 3443 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Esta nueva clínica ayudará a abordar brechas críticas en la atención dental local al brindar servicios preventivos y restaurativos asequibles y accesibles para niños, adultos y personas mayores, especialmente para beneficiarios de Medi-Cal y familias desatendidas.

💰 Con el apoyo de subvenciones por un total de $900,000, la clínica contará con hasta 7 estaciones dentales y tiene como objetivo atender hasta 400 pacientes por mes. Los servicios incluirán exámenes, limpiezas, empastes, coronas, extracciones, endodoncias limitadas y más.

EDCHC will be hosting a nutrition education class series starting July 10th at our Placerville location. Sessions will focus on nutrition topics including building a healthy plate, planning healthy meals, shopping on a budget, what’s on a label, and rethink your drink. There will be healthy snacks for participants, and we also have incentives for patient attendance that promote a healthy lifestyle.

These classes are available to EDCHC patients 18 + years of age only, and you must be registered to attend. For questions or to register, please contact Taylor at 530-621-77000 ext. 5068. This class is only offered in English currently.



The series schedule is:

Session 1: Thursday, July 10th 4:30-6pm

Session 2: Thursday, July 17th 4:30-6pm

The group is designed to encourage peer support and connection among participants. Please note, this is not a psychotherapy or crisis intervention group.
