CALLING ALL PITTY LOVERS! ~ We are currently helping to look for a furrrever home for this handsome 1 year old blue nose named Hercules. This sweet boy is the brother of little Petunia, the pitbull who Dr. Robinson took in last winter & underwent major heart surgery, so we have a special interest in getting him adopted!
Mister Hercules came to visit us at the office yesterday, and had a great demeanor! He was a bit on the submissive side around Dr. Robinson's dog Liza Jane, LOVED getting pet by all the staff members, and didn't immediately chase after the hospital kitties when he saw them (however, we would still like to cat-test before sending him into a home with felines). His foster-mom sent me a brief bio about him to share with potential adopters, that is as-follows:
"Hurk came to the rescue with a litter of five puppies that were living in less-than-ideal conditions. One of his brothers had parvo & his sister (Petunia) had serious medical needs as well. Poor Hurk was kept hidden from my rescue initially, but after several days we were able to track him down & place him in a foster home. Unfortunately due to medical circumstances on the humans' side, Hurk had to be rehomed for a second time, which ultimately lead to him being surrendered to the animal shelter (again, due to no fault of his own).
He seems pretty reactive through gates and when he's in a kennel, but only towards other [dominant] male dogs. When he is out & about (not behind a barrier), he does not act aggressive at all. I'm not sure how he is with cats, but I do know that he's great with kids and I think with the appropriate introductions, he could get along great with another doggy friend.
He is current on all of his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. If you can open your heart for this sweet little boy please let us know."
