Please welcome our student pharmacist, Lucy Seipel, to the pharmacy for the month.

Here is a little bit about Lucy. Please stop by and see her.

"My name is Lucy Seipel, and I’m a second-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) student in the distance program at the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy. I’m currently completing my Elective Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) at Sunny Pharmacy and have been enjoying the opportunity to learn more about the compounding side of pharmacy.

Before pharmacy school, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Ohio University in 2022, where I was also a Division I field hockey player. My experience as a student-athlete helped me develop strong discipline, teamwork, and time-management skills that continue to be valuable during pharmacy school.

During my rotation at Sunny Pharmacy, I’ve been gaining hands-on exposure to how customized medications are compounded to meet individual patient needs. It has been especially interesting to see how compounding pharmacists collaborate with prescribers and patients to create personalized therapies when commercially available medications may not be the best option. The precision, attention to detail, and problem-solving involved in compounding has been fascinating to observe.

Outside of pharmacy school, I enjoy staying active outdoors. I like golfing, gardening, and working on projects around my home. I also spend a lot of time with my two English bulldogs, and we enjoy swimming, hiking, and exploring new trails together.

I’m very grateful for the opportunity to learn from the team at Sunny Pharmacy and look forward to continuing to grow and gain experience as I work toward becoming a pharmacist."

Cards are $2 each or 10 cards for $15 if you need several.

Please welcome Natalie to the pharmacy family. Natalie is a senior at Hilliard and has agreed to make the pharmacy her third priority after school and softball.

Natalie's dad, Mark, used to be our pharmacist manager at Happy Druggist on Karl Road. We have known Natalie her entire life and we always expect great things from her. She is kind, caring, smart, and sweet, so stop in and say hello.
