🧥 Warm Hearts Coat Drive ❤️

Help us keep our community warm this winter! From November 10 – 30, we’re collecting new and gently used coats, jackets, hats, scarves, and gloves for children and adults in need.

🍎 Apple Tasting Fun at Villa Maria! 🍏

Our residents recently enjoyed a delightful apple tasting experience! From crisp Granny Smiths to sweet Honeycrisps, everyone had the chance to sample a variety of flavors and share their favorites. It was the perfect way to celebrate the fall season — full of smiles, laughter, and a little healthy fun! 🍂✨

🌟 Successful Resident Discharge: June Curtis 🌟

This is June Curtis. She came to Villa Maria Nursing & Rehabilitation after a hospital stay for a brain injury, completely dependent for all care and requiring a Hoyer lift. At one point, she even returned to the hospital during her recovery.

With dedication and hard work alongside our Nursing, OT, PT, SLP, and Social Work teams, June made incredible progress. She now has conversations with us, feeds herself, and participates in all her bathing and dressing tasks! 💪

While she continues to need some assistance at home, we are thrilled to celebrate that June is home and thriving! 💙

🎃👻 Trick or Treat at Villa Maria! 🍬

Villa Maria Nursing & Rehabilitation was thrilled to welcome local community trick-or-treaters to the center! Residents and team members joined in on the fun, handing out candy and sharing smiles with all the little ghosts and goblins who stopped by. 🧡

It was a heartwarming evening filled with laughter, treats, and community spirit! 👏🎃

🌟 Successful Resident Discharge: Judith Kramer 🌟

Judith came to Villa Maria Nursing & Rehabilitation in a lot of pain, unable to complete her bathing and dressing or transfer without assistance. With the support of nursing and OT/PT, she got her pain under control and focused on healing.

Through hard work, Judith regained her independence—completing all daily tasks, transfers, and walking on her own. She left happy and confident, using her walker independently! 💙

On October 7th, we were honored to welcome Plainfield’s First Selectman, Kevin Cunningham (R), who spent the afternoon with our residents discussing all the exciting developments in Plainfield.

He stayed to answer questions and share insights, making it a truly engaging and memorable visit!
