🎃 A Huge Thank-You for an Amazing Halloween Treat Walk! 🍬👻

We’re a little late posting, but we absolutely had to share how incredible our Halloween Treat Walk turned out this year! The turnout was amazing, and we are so grateful to every family, friend, and community member who came through our halls to celebrate with us.

Our residents were truly the stars of the day — thank you to each of them for their patience, excitement, and participation as we decorated and prepared. They had so much fun handing out candy and seeing all the kids in their costumes. Their joy made the whole event worth every minute! ❤️

A big thank-you as well to our leadership team and coworkers who pitched in from start to finish — from donating candy, to helping decorate, to pulling staples afterward. Your teamwork and support made this event possible. 🙌

We had an absolute blast, and we are so grateful for the love and support from our community. Thank you for helping make Halloween so special for our residents and our LTC family! 🧡🎃

🎣 Fishing Gear Donations Wanted 🎣

Clark Fork Valley Hospital’s Long-Term Care is excited to offer our residents the joy of fishing outings. Many of our elders grew up with a love for the outdoors, and this program will help them reconnect with those meaningful memories.

We are currently seeking donations of fishing poles, tackle, and other fishing gear to make this activity possible. Every contribution will directly benefit our residents and help us create special moments on the water.

This past Thursday was senior citizens day at Long Term Care! Dolly and I thought we would liven things up a bit and dress up like old ladies for the residents. We did wheelchair races and went room to room spreading laughter. We also participated in wheelchair races and might have been seen hitting each other with blow up bats. It was lots of fun!

UPDATE: Because we were having to do some improvements outside and couldn't do it on the day we wanted to, we are moving our annual Luau to August 29th! We would love for each and everyone of you to come and enjoy the festivities! There will be games and of course the very popular water balloon throwing! Please join us for an afternoon filled with laughter and making great memories.

We had 3 birthday gals this month! Each of them unique in their own way and always making us laugh. Oddly enough, 2 out 3 wanted ice cream cake, and not any ice cream cake, but a chocolate cream ice cream cake. Our wonderful kitchen crew is up for the challenge and is always going above and beyond for our residents. Please give these ladies a hug and birthday song the next time you see them.

We had a blast at the chicken jamboree last month. We've been so busy that I haven't gotten around to posting. But fun was had by all. We even had a couple of littles to entertain us for the afternoon! And we're also so blessed that Glenda, one of the residents' daughters, came and had some grub with us. We love when family we can get out in the community!
