It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of Shirley Scholz. Shirley was a true pioneer in the air medical industry and played an instrumental role in the development of Air EMS rule in Texas and New Mexico. Her tireless dedication and unwavering commitment to excellence were pivotal in establishing AeroCare's reputation for outstanding service, a legacy that continues to guide us to this day.

Shirley's contributions have left an indelible mark on our industry and our organization. We owe much of our success and high standards to her leadership and relentless pursuit of excellence. Her impact on our team and the countless lives she touched through her work will always be remembered and cherished.

Our deepest condolences go out to Shirley's family and friends during this difficult time.

Today our very own Brandon Turnbow is receiving one of the most precious gifts anyone could ever receive. He's getting a new heart. We at AeroCare are extending great appreciation as well as prayers to the donor and donor's family. To Brandon, we are praying and standing with you as you embark on this new journey.

For AeroCare Business Development Manager, KaWanna McCormick, Black History Month is a time to reflect and give recognition to her ancestors who paved the way before her. Their contributions are a daily reminder to KaWanna to always do her best in an industry that she holds close to her heart.

She is driven by joy and gratitude, knowing each day she is making a difference in her community. She is passionate about building relationships, educating and showing other providers her appreciation for the role they play in EMS. “I appreciate the ability to connect with my community and show them AeroCare’s ‘why’,” says KaWanna.

It’s moments where she is able to connect with today’s youth that have been the most rewarding to her. “Whether it’s showing them our aircraft, allowing them to try on a flight suit or speaking at a school, seeing kids’ faces light up and mental wheels start turning is priceless.”

We are thrilled to honor Dr. Craig Rhyne for thirty years of service as the AeroCare Medical Director. Throughout his years of service, Dr. Rhyne has been instrumental in the development of air medical rule in the state of Texas and New Mexico. Under Dr. Rhyne’s guidance, AeroCare has provided the highest level of care to the patients we serve.
