I’m realizing something.

People don’t come to me only because they stutter.

They come because they:
• hold back in conversations
• overthink what they’re going to say
• worry about being judged
• want to feel more confident using their voice

Some of the people I support stutter.
Some don’t.
Some are parents who need guidance navigating ADHD or communication challenges.

At the core, this work is about helping people trust their voice — in school, at work, and in life.

And that’s the work I love doing.

I’ve run many of these groups in person over the years, and I’m excited to expand this work virtually so more teens and college students can access support.

In 2025, I had the privilege of helping 35+ children and teens and 8 adults improve fluency and reduce fear around speaking.
I’m not giving up on this work — and I’m not giving up on people who stutter and their fluency. .

Lori Melnitsky, MA CCC-SLP is the founder of All Island Speech and Stuttering Therapy.
