Grateful for the opportunity to travel to Albany and attend a thorough briefing to prepare for advocacy as a member of the IAC. Days like this are a powerful reminder that effective lobbying starts with being informed, intentional, and united.

As we engage policymakers around the SFY 2027 budget priorities, I’m proud to help advocate for the causes and asks that matter most to individuals with disabilities and the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who make community living possible every day.

Hearing Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara speak with such passion rooted in his own experience advocating for his son was especially powerful. His message underscored the importance of ensuring individuals with disabilities have real options to continue living in their communities, surrounded by family, support, and opportunity.

“Budgets are moral documents how we fund services reflects what we truly value as a society.”

Strong investments in disability services aren’t just line items in a budget they are commitments to dignity, equity, and opportunity.

What an incredible way to begin the year! Our 2026 holiday party was truly unforgettable, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our CEO for hosting a feast fit for kings and queens 👑. From the unique entertainment to the feel-good music that kept the energy high, every detail reflected appreciation for our amazing team.

The heartfelt speeches and genuine sentiments shared by our dedicated staff were a powerful reminder of what makes our organization special. The camaraderie, laughter, and meaningful connections made the evening more than a celebration it was a true bonding experience that set the tone for the year ahead.

We were pleased to welcome the leadership team from Long Island Select Healthcare to Community Care Rx (CCRx) for a thoughtful and productive conversation focused on collaboration and shared goals.

Long Island Select Healthcare plays an important role in our community by supporting providers and organizations that care for some of our most vulnerable populations. Their leadership’s commitment to quality, accountability, and continuity of care is evident, and it was meaningful to exchange insights on how we can better align pharmacy services with real-world operational needs.

Community Care Rx Irien Moawad , President of Pharmacy Services enjoyed celebrating the season at the South Shore Guidance Center today at Freeport, part of the EPIC Family of Human Service Agencies 🎄✨

This annual holiday party is a beautiful reflection of South Shore Guidance Center’s mission to support children, youth, and families through compassionate mental health and community-based services.

Staff spent their Saturday preparing to attend and ensuring this event was truly special for the community we serve. From food and games to a visit from Santa (aka Joel 🎅), every detail created moments of joy.

Interacting with the youth and their families and seeing their smiles was truly priceless and captured the true meaning of holiday giving.

Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth.
