More hope for head trauma patients!

Michael had a series of different injuries that led to a traumatic brain injury. Following rehabilitation, Michael was told he had reached his limit on what he could do. Research led to the Johns Hopkins Noninvasive Brain Stimulation (NIBS) program that helped set Michael on a path to recovery.

To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, candidates must be active and fully-licensed to practice for approximately 10 years or less. While approximately 5 percent of the doctors within the respective state or region are named to Super Doctors, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.

Through a multidisciplinary effort, we were able to save Athenas Ramirez from a life-threatening brain bleed and eventually cure her of her arteriovenous malformation that had caused her brain bleed. She is truly a miracle and I am very proud of our team and all their hard work. This privilege to help and save lives is what makes me excited to come to work each day.
