Sometimes we wreck ourselves when we “judge” it compared to our happiness, our perfectly good mood according to an unrealistic standard. Don’t underestimate contentment or satisfaction just because your are not “jump out of your seat joyful”. Life is made up primarily of the “quieter” forms of happiness. But they still count. They feed our soul.

Time does NOT heal all wounds. We hope that the pain will wear away over time. But if we don’t deal with the problem,with the pain, it festers. If we put it in a box and put that box on a shelf in our emotional closet and lick the door..it leaks. All over our lives. Be brave, dive in. God loves you, and He can change everything.

When you depend on something (job) or someone (relationship) to make you happy, it owns the lightbulb in the room of your life. If something happens to the job or the relationship, it takes the lightbulb with it and you are left in the dark. If you know who you are, and who God created you to be, the light is yours and no one and nothing can take that away from you.

Our past is a chapter not the title. You can turn a fresh page. “Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19
Through Christ God makes all things new- he makes a way for us to live and walk with meaning in a new direction.
