Bringing awareness to colon cancer prevention is a cornerstone of my GI practice. This is one of the few cancers that screening can prevent. Subsequently, I always want to inform others about local events supporting colon cancer awareness to keep getting screened top of mind. Each March, we bring awareness to colorectal cancer in an attempt to increase screening and promote prevention and research, while supporting those who are affected by this disease.
