God’s chosen mehtod to save us was to become one of us. He doesn’t avoid pain and brokenness by drawing back but enters in to bring love and rescue. He deeply loves you far more than you realize. He continues to work in and through your mess today. He is with you as you pursue healing and resilience. Our prayer this Christmas for you is that you will know this a little deeper each day. (Ephesians 3:14-21)

During the Advent season, we remember the promised hope that was fulfilled with the birth of Jesus and the promise of hope to be fulfilled in the future. We remember the goodness of God, who in just one restores and makes all things new.

Giving comes from genuine love. When we love we what to express it and give it away and solve the problems of those we love. Just as the Father so loved us, that He gave His Son to solve our biggest problem. We celebrate that love this week and we model it in the love we give to those around us.

This time of year can be hard. It is normal to have grief and trauma triggers. Expect them so you aren't surprised by them and have a plan. Most plans will include checking in to your inner world and noticing what you are feeling, identifying your needs, and meeting them. Most needs will be comfort, the reassurance of love, safety, and value. Praying you can stay curious and compassionate this week and know how much you are loved.

Healing often means releasing people, patterns, or environments that keep you stuck in old wounds.

Outgrowing is not selfish — it’s necessary.

Setting boundaries protects your energy, your peace, and your healing.
It’s okay to say “no.”
It’s okay to walk away.
It’s okay to protect your well-being without guilt.

Healing rarely moves in a straight line. Some days will feel harder than others — and that’s okay.
Be gentle with yourself. Your journey doesn't have to look perfect to be meaningful.

Our Story

Welcome! My name is Aimee Thompson and I am a Christian Counselor for women ages 12 and up. As a Christian Counselor, I view counseling as a collaborative work between both client and counselor that addresses the whole person (mind, body, emotions, and spirit). I’m about loving Jesus, loving people, encouraging growth, and seeking truth! My passion is to walk with people through struggle, challenges, and difficult times. This flows out of my own long seasons of intense physical pain, relationship struggles, and parenting challenges. Yet, I know God wants so much more for us than what most people experience. Life is hard. Hope abounds. Grace is real. Your story matters. Please contact me privately by email or schedule a consultation through my website, if you are interested in working with me. Aimee Thompson, M.A., LPC
