If you’ve ever packed your bags after a knee or hip replacement and thought, “Great… am I going to beep like crazy at TSA?” — you’re not alone.
The honest answer? You might… and that’s completely normal.
Your hip, knee, or shoulder implant can sometimes trigger airport scanners, but security teams see this every single day. It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with your joint or your surgery.
Here are a few ways to make travel day less stressful:

• 🕒 Give yourself a little extra time at the airport
• 💬 Tell the TSA agent you have a joint replacement before you walk through
• 🙋‍♂️ Expect a quick pat-down or wand screening — it’s routine, not a red flag
