They call it a midlife crisis, but that is not what it is.
It is a reckoning.
It is the moment the version of you that survived no longer agrees to run your life.
The first half of life was about becoming who you needed to be to stay safe, to be chosen, to belong. You adapted. You endured. You learned how to function inside systems that did not ask who you truly were.
But survival was never meant to be your permanent address.
There comes a point when the masks grow heavy and the roles feel rehearsed, and you realize the life you built does not quite fit the woman you have become.
That is not collapse.
That is clarity.
The second half of life is not about reinvention. It is about removal. It is about laying down what survival required of you and keeping only what is real.
This is not falling apart.
It is rebirth.
