People pleasing often looks like kindness.
Inside, it’s fear doing the talking.
Fear of rocking the boat.
Fear of letting someone down.
Fear that honesty will cost you the relationship.
So you say yes when you mean no.
You explain yourself too much.
You carry responsibility that was never yours.
It keeps things “fine,” but it leaves you worn down.
