Here's something we don't talk about enough: depression lives in your body, not just your mind. 🧠

Nutrition won't replace mental health treatment when depression is severe but it can absolutely support your recovery and help treatments like Ketamine therapy or Spravato work even better.

At Neuroglow, we look at the whole picture. That means personalized nutrition support, micronutrient testing when needed, and realistic, small steps—because we know that when depression is heavy, even eating feels hard.
No perfection required. Just progress. 🌿

A consistent monitoring check—done the same way, every time—supports safer anesthesia care and fewer “avoidable surprises” in the OR.

At Illume Anesthesia, we value reliable systems—because consistent monitoring and communication are the foundation of safe surgical care.

IV sedation and general anesthesia are both common—what’s best depends on the procedure, your medical history, and safety needs. At Illume Anesthesia, we personalize your plan and monitor you continuously for a safe, comfortable experience.

One of the easiest ways to support safe anesthesia with hypertension: bring your medication list (with dosages) and follow your pre-op instructions for BP meds on surgery day. When your anesthesia team has accurate information, we can plan better, monitor closely, and respond quickly—helping keep you stable and safe.

Surgery works best when the whole team is in sync. While the surgeon focuses on the procedure, the anesthesia team focuses on what patients don’t see—breathing, blood pressure, comfort, and continuous monitoring from start to recovery.

At Illume Anesthesia, we’re proud to be the steady partner in the OR—supporting surgical teams and helping patients feel safe every step of the way.

In anesthesia, patient experience is shaped long before the first medication—and remembered long after recovery.

Clear communication, empathy, and a tailored comfort plan (pain and nausea prevention, smooth wake-up, and supportive PACU care) are major drivers of satisfaction. At Illume Anesthesia, we prioritize both clinical safety and the human side of care.

Feeling anxious about “Will I keep breathing?” during surgery is completely normal.
The good news: under anesthesia, your breathing is one of the most closely monitored parts of your care.

The anesthesia team continuously tracks your oxygen levels (SpO₂), your exhaled carbon dioxide (capnography/end-tidal CO₂), and your breathing rate/pattern. If anything changes, we can respond immediately—adjust medications, reposition you, provide oxygen, and when necessary, support your airway with devices like an LMA or a breathing tube during general anesthesia.

At Illume Anesthesia, we combine vigilant monitoring with calm, patient-centered care—so you feel safe, informed, and supported before, during, and after your procedure.

After sedation or anesthesia, your reaction time, judgment, and coordination can stay impaired—even if you feel awake. That’s why most patients are advised to avoid driving for the rest of the day after a procedure with sedation or general anesthesia.

Safer plan:
☑️ Arrange a responsible adult to drive you home
☑️ Don’t drive, operate machinery, or make major decisions the same day
☑️ Follow your discharge instructions—some medications (especially pain meds) can extend the “no driving” window

At Illume Anesthesia, we prioritize safe recovery and clear guidance—so you get home safely and heal with confidence.

Most people with high blood pressure (hypertension) can safely undergo anesthesia—especially when it’s identified early and managed proactively.

Before surgery, your anesthesia team reviews your blood pressure history and medications, checks recent readings, and assesses any heart-related risks if needed. During the procedure, we monitor blood pressure continuously and treat changes promptly to help keep you stable.

How you can help:
☑️ Share your medication list and recent BP readings (if available)
☑️ Take BP meds exactly as instructed before surgery
☑️ Tell us about symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, severe headaches, or dizziness

At Illume Anesthesia, we prioritize safe, steady care—so you feel informed, supported, and reassured.

Anesthesia isn’t “one-size-fits-all.” It requires planning, constant monitoring, and a team ready to act in real time. At Illume Anesthesia, we take that responsibility seriously—because your safety is the priority from pre-op to recovery.

Spinal and epidural anesthesia are both regional techniques—but they work a little differently. Spinal is typically a single injection with quick onset, while an epidural can be adjusted over time using a catheter. Your anesthesia team will guide you to the safest choice for your situation.
