Menopause is not the end of something. It’s the beginning of consciously understanding your body.

Hot flashes, mood changes, weight gain, poor sleep…

But what if these are not problems, but signals your body is trying to communicate?

Tomorrow, I’ll be joining Radio Rangrez 94.1 FM to talk about what menopause really means from an Ayurvedic perspective that looks at the root, not just the symptoms.

We’ll discuss:
• Why symptoms feel different for every woman
• The role of digestion, hormones, and lifestyle
• Simple daily shifts that can make a noticeable difference
• What your body is actually asking for during this phase

Many people experience this after long hours of sitting, driving, or daily strain, but often ignore it until it becomes more uncomfortable.

At AyurRoots®, we use classical Kerala Ayurvedic therapies, such as Podi Kizhi, in which warm herbal bundles are applied to the body to support circulation and ease stiffness.
This therapy is traditionally used to support joint comfort, ease stiffness, and help the body feel more at ease.

Feeling heavy, slow, or low on energy lately?

As spring arrives, many people notice changes in digestion, appetite, and overall energy.

In Ayurveda, this seasonal shift is linked to the accumulation of Kapha — which can lead to a sense of heaviness or sluggishness.

This is the time to gently support the body with the right diet, routine, and seasonal practices.

Simple changes can help:
• Support digestion (Agni)
• Help the body process Ama (toxins)
• Restore a sense of lightness and balance

At AyurRoots® Ayurveda Wellness Center in Plano, we guide you with personalized Ayurvedic consultations tailored to your body type and current state.

If you’ve been feeling these changes, it may be the right time to realign your routine.

Feeling heavy after meals…
Waking up tired… even after sleep?
Most people ignore these small signs.
But your body is already trying to communicate.

In Ayurveda, these early signals are not random; they often reflect subtle imbalances in digestion, routine, and daily habits.

When noticed early, small shifts in diet, lifestyle, and rhythm can help the body feel lighter, more balanced, and more in sync.

If you’ve been noticing these patterns, it may be time to pause and understand what your body needs.

At AyurRoots® Ayurveda Wellness Center in Plano, Texas, we offer personalized Ayurvedic consultations based on your unique constitution and current state.

Feeling heavy or sluggish lately?
As spring arrives, many people notice increased heaviness in the body, slower digestion, low energy, or a sense of dullness. This is a common seasonal pattern.

In Ayurveda, the transition from winter to spring is associated with the accumulation of Kapha, which can lead to feelings of heaviness, congestion, and reduced metabolic activity.

To support this phase, small adjustments in daily routine, diet, and lifestyle can help the body feel lighter, more active, and balanced.

If you’ve been experiencing these changes, consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner can help guide you through this seasonal shift with appropriate dietary, routine, and lifestyle modifications.

At AyurRoots® Ayurveda Wellness Center in Plano, Texas, we offer personalized Ayurvedic consultations based on your body type and current state.

Spring is known in Ayurveda as Vasanta Ṛtu.

During winter, Kapha naturally accumulates in the body. As temperatures rise in spring, this accumulated Kapha begins to liquefy, which is why many people notice heaviness, congestion, or sluggish digestion during this season.

Because of this seasonal shift, Ayurveda traditionally recommends strengthening daily routine (Dinacharya).

Helpful habits may include:

• Waking up early, ideally before sunrise
• Spending time outdoors in fresh morning air
• Udvartana (dry herbal powder massage)
• Warm showers instead of cold ones
• Gentle nasal care practices such as Nasya

These seasonal habits are part of Ritucharya, the Ayurvedic approach to living in harmony with nature’s rhythms.

Spring is known as Vasant Ṛtu in Ayurveda.

According to classical Ayurvedic texts, the Kapha accumulated during the cold winter months begins to liquefy as the sun’s rays grow stronger and temperatures rise. This seasonal shift can lead to symptoms many people notice during spring — sneezing, congestion, heaviness, or sluggish digestion.

Ayurveda recommends adjusting daily habits during this time to support balance. Simple seasonal practices may include:

• Eating light and warming foods such as barley, soups, and bitter greens
• Using digestive spices like ginger, black pepper, and long pepper
• Engaging in regular exercise (Vyayama)
• Practicing Udvartana (dry herbal powder massage) to help reduce Kapha heaviness
• Maintaining a consistent daily routine (Dinacharya)

Living in harmony with seasonal rhythms is a foundational principle of Ayurveda and plays an important role in maintaining overall balance.

Eyes Feeling Tired from Too Much Screen Time?

Long hours on computers, phones, and digital devices can leave the eyes feeling strained, heavy, or overworked.
At AyurRoots® Ayurveda Wellness Center in Plano, Texas, we offer Netra Basti, a traditional Ayurvedic eye wellness therapy.

What is Netra Basti?

Netra Basti is a classical Ayurvedic therapy in which warm, herbal ghee is gently retained around the eyes within a dough boundary for a specific duration.
In Ayurveda, this therapy is traditionally practiced as a supportive wellness approach for individuals experiencing:
• Eye fatigue from prolonged screen exposure
• A sense of dryness or heaviness
• General eye discomfort associated with the modern lifestyle

In yogic philosophy, the eye region is also associated with the Ajna (Third Eye) center, symbolically linked to clarity and awareness.

Netra Basti is personally provided as part of classical Ayurvedic therapy at AyurRoots® in Plano, Texas.
Serving Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, and the greater Dallas–Fort Worth area.

You cut sugar.
You try to eat “better.”
And yet… your blood sugar still feels unpredictable.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

For many people, metabolic health isn’t just about what’s on the plate. It’s shaped quietly by daily rhythms — when you eat, how well you sleep, how much stress your nervous system carries, and whether your routine supports consistency.

Ayurveda has long viewed metabolic imbalance as something that develops slowly from small, everyday patterns — not something that changes with one diet or one “perfect” week.

If you’re tired of guessing and jumping from one tip to another, a more structured, personalized approach can bring clarity.
