From Peg Laterals to a Confident, Complete Smile 💫

This case is a great example of what's possible when orthodontics and restorative dentistry work hand-in-hand.

We started with peg shapes lateral incisors and a misaligned bite. First, we used braces to correct the bite and create ideal spacing and positioning for future veneers to be placed. Once everything was in the right place, the patient was referred back to their dentist for beautifully crafted veneers on the laterals.

The result?! A natural, balanced smile that looks as good as it functions!

Skeletal Class II Transformation 🌟

With the help of a herbst appliance and braces, we were able to correct this bite which presented with a Class II occlusion meaning the upper front and maxillary teeth project more forward than the lower teeth and jaw.

Class II problems are often inherited genetically and can be corrected with early intervention.

Orthodontics aren't just straightening teeth, it's creating a healthier bite, improved function, and a smile that truly fits 💥

This patient presented with an anterior open bite caused from a tongue thrust habit-meaning the tongue was pushing forward and not resting properly at the roof of the mouth, preventing the front teeth from closing.

World Oral Health Day reminder 🦷✨

Braces don’t damage your teeth… poor oral hygiene does.

White spots, called enamel decalcification, can happen when plaque sits around brackets too long… but the good news is it’s completely preventable with good brushing and flossing habits.

If you (or your teen) have braces, this is your sign to lock in your routine:

✔️ Brush after every meal
✔️ Floss daily (yes, even with braces)
✔️ Keep your ortho appointments
✔️ Visit your dentist every 4–6 months

Because the goal isn’t just straight teeth…

✨ Open Bite Transformation ✨

These results show what can happen when orthodontics and myofunctional therapy work together to close an open bite.

An open bite occurs when the upper and lower teeth don’t touch when the mouth is closed. This can be caused by habits such as tongue thrust, improper tongue posture, or airway-related issues.

In this case, treatment included:
✔️ Orthodontic treatment to properly align the teeth and close the bite
✔️ Myofunctional therapy to retrain tongue posture and oral muscle function
✔️ Habit correction to help ensure long-term stability
