Health and wellness goes beyond what happens in our chiropractic offices.

Wellness encompasses mind, body, and spirit!

Daily I add these into my wellness journey to boost my health:

- daily work in Gods word
- daily movement of my body (gym, outdoor walks, gentle stretching while watching tv, etc.)
- daily quality nutritional supplements
- daily water intake of 80oz or more

Heading into the Spring season, most of us will be gearing up on our outdoor activities. All to often I get injuries in my clinic that could have been prevented. Here's some helpful information to get you ready for your favorite outdoor activities.

- Warm-up and Stretching: Before engaging in any physical activity, ensure you warm up your muscles adequately. Dynamic stretching and mobility exercises can help prepare your body for movement and reduce the risk of strains and sprains.

- Gradual Progression: Avoid the temptation to push yourself too hard, too fast. Gradually increase the intensity, duration, or weight of your activities to allow your body to adapt and strengthen gradually.

- Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to any warning signs such as pain, discomfort, or fatigue. Pushing through pain can lead to further injury. If you experience persistent or severe pain, seek medical attention promptly.

- Cross-Train and Mix Up Activities: Incorporating variety into your routine can help prevent overuse injuries and keep your body balanced and strong. Consider cross-training with different activities to work different muscle groups and reduce the risk of repetitive strain injuries.

Have you felt embarrassed by how your skin looks? 😳

We have had a patient who came in with Rosacea.

She was talking to us about a spot on her knee and as it got irritated 😣 she would scratch it causing more irritation 🔥 .

She was embarrassed to wear shorts 🩳 in the summer time so we started coaching her about her nutrition 🍲 .

As we cut back her sugar intake and found alternative sources, she noticed her spot starting to not itch and be so irritated. Over the next couple of weeks the redness went down ⬇️ and she felt more comfortable wearing shorts for the warmer weather 🌞 .

Sugar can cause disruption in our body. Most of the time it can be noticed by:

❌ Afternoon fatigue
❌ acne
❌ red spots in random places
❌ difficulty getting to sleep
❌ unexplained joint pain
❌ inability to focus/concentrate.

Helping people find solutions to their health is what we strive on 🥳.

🍓 The word Breakfast literally means “to break the fast.” It is the first meal of the day after a stretch of not eating overnight.

🍓Bypassing breakfast can make you feel fatigued throughout the day because you are running on empty. Breakfast replenishes your glucose levels to boost your energy level and alertness.

🍓Scientific studies suggest a healthy breakfast provides better coverage of the nutritional recommendations and better quality of the whole diet.

🍓Improve metabolism- Breakfast is associated with better body weight control, better memory and concentration, lower levels of “bad” LDL cholesterol, and lower chances of getting diabetes, heart disease, and being overweight.

🌟Wall Twist - This is a great stretch after you have been sitting all day.

🌟Child’s pose on a desk - do this several times during the day to help decrease the stiffness in your spine

🌟Shoulder Rollouts - only go as far as you can comfortably. No need to push the limits.

🌟Side Lying Twists - the goal with this stretch is to keep your hips aligned with each other, and not let them fall backwards.
