Welcome baby Erik💙

After a marathon labor with her first baby, this repeat momma trusted her body for a more gentle birth. Her surprise baby boy arrived two weeks earlier than his big sister and made his entrance just over two hours after they got to Plano Birthplace. She was supposed to have an appointment at 11am that day and birthed at 11:01am! Baby Erik also joined the rare 1% club of being born en caul!

This first time momma's water broke on her husband's birthday, but they wanted their daughter her own birthday. They decided to grab birthday dinner to-go and went to bed early! The next morning, contractions began and they headed to Plano Birthplace. Throughout the day, she worked through contractions using a TENS unit, lots of movement, and the support of her doula, Stacy. As labor progressed, she got into the tub to birth but she wanted to wait to push until her mom and sister arrived from San Antonio. After a long day of contractions, she was feeling tired, so we played Taylor Swift to shift the energy in the room!
When it was time, she gently brought her baby's head into her own hands, and dad stepped in to help catch their daughter!

Welcome baby Truett🩵

This first-time mama’s water broke 36 hours before labor began. She remained patient, protected her rest, and stayed in close communication with her birth team and doula. When active labor picked up, she stayed calm and steady through the long journey to meet her baby. With the loving support of her husband and doula , she worked through each contraction with strength and never gave up. She reminded herself that this was exactly what her body was made to do! They welcomed their surprise baby boy at the perfect time, just before the winter storm hit❄️

Welcome baby Luke🩵

Just a week earlier, after a successful External Cephalic Version (ECV), baby finally turned head down. Interestingly, all three of her boys have all stayed breech until the very last minute. Her daughter was the only one who stayed head down well before birth. Labor began in unforgettable way when her water suddenly broke at Chick-fil-A. Just seconds later, her mom who had checked Life360 because of a feeling that she might be needed, walked in and proudly announced to the entire restaurant, “My daughter’s water broke!” They headed quickly to the birth center while her youngest son chanted from the back seat, “We’re having a baby! We’re having a baby!” The day before, while visiting the birth center, she had said with confidence, “I’m going to have this baby tomorrow!” When she got to Plano Birthplace, she settled peacefully into the tub. She was surrounded by laughter and excitement as she gently welcomed her third baby boy into the world and had her first out-of-hospital birth!

Welcome baby Isabelle🩷

This momma woke up to contractions and just a few hours later, she was holding her sweet baby girl in her arms! With her husband by her side, she had a calm and peaceful water birth and even caught her own baby!! Lindsay, one of our midwives, had the honor of attending her last birth here a Plano Birthplace and got to be by her side for a second time! Everyone was surprised to find out they were adding a third girl to their crew!

Welcome baby Oakley 💕🌻 The sweetest new addition to this beautiful family. Her sisters were both born in the same tub, in the same Sky Suite, with the same midwife and doula by their side, and this little one continued the tradition with her own calm, peaceful water birth. Big sister Hazel arrived at 8 pounds 8 ounces, and this little sister weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces, both born after their due dates and both with a full head of dark hair.
Their big brother at home is over the moon to welcome another sister.
After a day of early labor she handled with grace, mom woke just after midnight already in active labor, and from the first strong contraction to this baby’s debut took only two hours. Mom and dad came into the birth center, met their third baby in the water, and were back home for snuggles before the other two even woke up.

Welcome baby Claire 🎉💞
Her birth was powerful and beautifully fast. After her waters released at home, she followed her instincts every step of the way, moving freely and responding to her body as labor intensified. She shifted from the shower to the bed, squatting and working with each surge until she moved onto hands and knees and finally into a strong lunge. She brought her baby girl into the world with so much calm strength and steady presence while her team supported her closely.
What an incredible birth 🌻

Welcome baby James 🎉🌻
After twenty four hours with SROM, this strong mama chose a natural induction at PBP. Once she settled in, we gave her time and space, and her body moved into active labor with flying cowgirl helping things progress. Shannon supported the family as their doula with her calm steady presence.
Mama birthed on her hands and knees on the bed, bringing James earthside in such a grounded powerful way.

Born after a gentle natural induction at forty one and a half weeks, just like his big brother. Her labor unfolded beautifully and steadily, and he arrived in the world with calm strength. Shelly Thrift-Brittain supported the family as their doula, creating a peaceful and connected birth day for everyone.

🎊 Welcome Baby Sebastian ✨
This second-time mama had a beautiful first birth in the hospital with her doula Ryley by her side, but this time was extra special. She birthed in the tub, with no cervical exams, no interventions, and no clock watching, just the same amazing doula, midwife Jeannine and a peaceful experience. Dad kept saying it was a “10 out of 10,” and heading home to rest in their own beds and soak up those first skin-to-skin days together made it even sweeter. 💜
