Wow! 13 years ago today Cynthia Tanner Wolf and I started on one of our greatest adventures. We bought Haught Funeral Home. I remember sitting in the parking lot of the attorneys office in a panic. I told Cynthia we should drive away quickly before they realized we had actually bought the funeral home. The purchase absolutely changed our lives. I get to work with my daughter Katherine Wolf Gordon, who I am so proud of. You never know maybe someday Ellie and Calder will work with us one day. I have an incredible staff Pamela Ashley Beck, Gina Sullivan, Maleah, Rita, Emily, Brandon, and David. They all work everyday to delight the families we serve. As always great thanks to Vince Hawkins with out his advice and recommendation none of this would have happened. I would also like to thank Mr. Haught's family he was always an avid supporter of our business and his family Sara Haught Talley Laura Haught, Haught, Emily Haught and of course Jo Haught all continue to be supporters of our business. I would also like to thank the Plant City Community for always making us feel welcome. Know that I wake up every morning looking forward to going to work and serving our community. Thanks to everyone!!

A great loss RIP

Maggie Smith, the two-time Oscar-winning actor best known for playing the stern Professor McGonagall in the “Harry Potter” movie franchise and the tart-tongued Dowager Countess on “Downton Abbey,” died Friday, her publicist and children confirmed.

She was 89.

Once male-dominated, the funeral industry is undergoing a major shift. Gen Z and millennial woman are enrolling in mortuary school to fill the void.
