WE’RE CELEBRATING! 🎉 🥳 🎉
South Florida Baptist Hospital has BayCare Orthopedic Institute's newest Comprehensive Care Center for Total Joint and Revision!

What is a Comprehensive Care Center (CCC)?

CCCs are part of the Clinical Institutes model of care that BayCare adopted in 2024 to provide patients with certain diagnoses advanced, coordinated treatment closer to home. BayCare hospitals that meet strict criteria can qualify to start a CCC for specialized treatment of a particular diagnosis under one of BayCare's six Clinical Institutes: BayCare Kids, Cancer, Heart and Vascular, Neuroscience, Orthopedic and Women’s. Each CCC works collectively with its peers across the BayCare system to ensure patients have timely access to the most informed, appropriate care.

What does this mean for orthopedic patients at SFBH?

This designation means that our hospital has met the required criteria for quality of care, patient volume, facility space, technology and surgeon experience to provide patients who need a total joint replacement or revision the highest standard of care. Not only will patients receive treatment from highly skilled providers with advanced training, but they also receive assistance from a patient navigator who can set appointments and liaise with care providers to ensure a seamless health care journey.

We are so pleased to offer this exceptional level of service and quality to our orthopedic patients at South Florida Baptist Hospital. Learn more about the BayCare Orthopedic Institute.

A blessing from Chaplain Mike as we mark the opening of our new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit:

We gather today with grateful hearts to bless the new NICU, a place of hope, healing and miracles. May this department be a sanctuary of comfort and care for the tiniest and most vulnerable lives entrusted to us.

Bless the hands and hearts of every doctor, nurse and staff member who will nurture these precious infants. Grant them wisdom, patience and strength as they work tirelessly to bring light and health to these little warriors.

May the families who enter here find peace, courage and reassurance. Surround them with love and compassion during their journey.

Let this NICU be a place where science and kindness walk hand in hand, where every breath, every heartbeat and every small victory is cherished.

We ask protection, guidance and blessings over this space, so that it may be a beacon of hope and healing for all who enter.

Amen.
