Sometimes our paths choose us, especially when healing is involved.

My journey as a therapist and PhD student has deepened my belief that healing is not one-dimensional. It’s shaped by lived experience, nervous system regulation, insight, culture, and compassion.

At the core of my work is trauma-informed, integrative care, honoring the whole person while using evidence-based practices to support meaningful, sustainable change.

Forever learning. Forever holding space. Grateful to walk alongside others as they reconnect with their strengths and move toward healing.

Sometimes the most harmful question isn’t “What’s wrong with me?” It’s “Why has no one ever asked what I lived through?”

Many people collect diagnoses not because they’re complicated, but because their nervous system learned how to survive something overwhelming.

When trauma goes unnamed, symptoms get fragmented.
Treatment feels disconnected.
And people internalize the belief that they’re “too much” or “hard to treat.”

Trauma-informed care doesn’t rush to label. It listens for patterns, context, and survival responses. It honors the body and the story, not just the symptom list. And for many, that’s the moment things finally begin to shift.

✨ Let’s talk about confidentiality in therapy ✨

One of the most common concerns people have before starting therapy is:
“Will this stay private?”
“What if someone finds out what I share?”

You’re not alone! And your concern makes sense.

Here’s what’s important to know: therapy is protected by strict confidentiality laws. What you share with your therapist stays private and cannot be disclosed without your consent, except in very specific situations (such as risk of harm to yourself or others).

Therapy is meant to be a safe, confidential space, a place where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment or fear. Your story belongs to you, and you always get to decide the pace at which you share.

If confidentiality has been holding you back, take a deep breath 🤍
You’re allowed to ask questions.
You’re allowed to go slow.
You deserve a space that feels safe and supportive.

Consistency isn’t built through willpower alone. It’s built through clarity, compassion, and commitment.
It’s not about doing everything right or never falling off track. It’s about returning to yourself again and again.

đź§  Set your goals with intention, not pressure. Goals should support your life, not overwhelm it.
đź§  Be intentional with your actions, even the small ones. Consistency lives in the everyday choices we often overlook.
🧠 Practice patience with yourself. Growth is not linear, and healing doesn’t follow a timeline.
đź§  Celebrate small wins. Showing up counts. Trying counts. Resting when needed counts.

In therapy, we often work on shifting from an all-or-nothing mindset to one rooted in flexibility and self-compassion. Consistency doesn’t mean never struggling, it means continuing, even when it’s hard.

If you’ve been feeling discouraged, let this be your reminder: progress can be quiet, slow, and still incredibly meaningful.

Being anti-diet does NOT mean:
❌ anti-health
❌ anti-weight loss
❌ anti-doctors
❌ anti-exercise

It means being anti-shame.
Anti-fear.
Anti-systems that profit from disordered thinking and body dissatisfaction.

Anti-diet IS about:
✔️ Respecting body diversity
✔️ Protecting mental & emotional health
✔️ Releasing guilt and obsession around food
✔️ Making peace with movement and rest
✔️ Listening to your body instead of punishing it

You can care for your body without hating it.
You can want change without shame.
You can pursue health without diet culture.

Your brain doesn’t know the difference between a joke, a vent, or a belief, it listens to everything you tell it. 🧠💬

When you repeat harsh self-talk, your nervous system adapts to it. When you shift your language, even slightly, your brain begins rewiring through neuroplasticity.

This isn’t toxic positivity! It’s emotional accuracy.
Speak to yourself the way you’d speak to someone you love. Your words shape your internal world.
