The Bible teaches that more than 2000 years ago a man named Jesus came not to discard the Law, but to fulfill it. Years earlier, the Lord gave the law to Moses for the Jewish people as a code for moral and judicial conduct as a society. All throughout the Old Testament we see the Jewish people repeatedly fail to uphold the law and turn away from the Lord. While we know that laws are important, we know that if someone’s heart is not right on the inside, they will ultimately fail the law.
So, it is biblically correct to state that true spiritual transformation happens from the inside-out. Thus, once someone’s heart is right because of their love for God, then ultimately all decisions will be to serve and honor Him. In other words, breaking the law will be more difficult to do if your mind and heart is set to bring glory and honor to God.
Something similar can be stated with the concept of health.
Our health-care delivery system in the U.S. is run in such a way as to not actually restore health to a patient, but rather to only diagnose and treat effects with drugs and surgery. This “legalistic” standard of care has evolved driven by Big Pharma and Big Insurance’s shareholder profits. It’s an outside- in approach that puts profit first and patient health last. There’s no focus anywhere in this model to restore health from the inside-out.
As a Chiropractor, my approach is different. I know that in certain cases, drugs and surgery may be of necessary benefit. However, even after the application of these procedures, healing still must occur from within the body; and that healing happens through neurological communication. This innate/inborn process is the same healing power that heals a cut, cancer, or a broken bone. In order for this to function at its highest capacity, there must be no interference in the nervous system.
The Chiropractic Adjustment Removes this interference, thus restoring the life-flow of innate intelligence, ultimately providing the patient ideal conditions to create health from within and adapt to their environment. The chiropractic adjustment doesn’t replace the medical model (drugs & surgery), nor is it an alternative to treat a condition “naturally.” The primary purpose of a chiropractic adjustment is to remove nerve interference so that your body can function, heal, and perform at its best- from the inside-out.
The same way spiritual transformation happens, is the same way health transformation happens- from the inside-out.
