This holiday season, we had the privilege of spreading love, comfort, and cheer to patients who could not be home during the holidays.

Students from first grade through college created heartfelt holiday cards and festive crafts to honor those celebrating either Hanukkah or Christmas. These were personally delivered to patients in local hospitals, offering encouragement, warmth, and a reminder that they are deeply cared for.

We are incredibly grateful to Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital for welcoming us and allowing us to share these meaningful moments with their patients during such a special time of year. For many, these small gestures brought light during a season that can be especially difficult when spent in the hospital.

The remaining cards and crafts will be delivered to children battling cancer through the Sunrise Program at the JCC, ensuring that even more hearts are touched by this beautiful initiative.

Thank you to the students, families, educators, hospital teams, and community partners who made this possible. It was an honor for Young At Heart Home Care to sponsor and support this effort and to help spread kindness, compassion, and connection throughout our community.

Because care is not just what we do. It is who we are.

💌 Bringing Joy to Seniors This Holiday Season 💌

This year, our students at Nova Southeastern University are stepping up in a beautiful way—by crafting handmade, heartfelt holiday cards for seniors who may be spending the season without loved ones nearby.

And we want to extend this kindness even further.

We’re looking to partner with local hospitals, rehab centers, assisted living communities, and memory care facilities to ensure these messages of hope reach seniors who need them most.

A simple card can brighten a day, warm a heart, and remind someone that they are valued, remembered, and deeply loved.

If you’d like your residents or patients to receive these cards, kindly send me a private message so we can coordinate the drop-off or delivery.

A major study published November 24, 2025 in JAMA Neurology is raising important awareness about sleep and long-term brain health.

Researchers from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and the VA Portland Health Care System analyzed the health records of 11.3 million U.S. veterans (spanning 1999 to 2022) and discovered something significant.

• Untreated obstructive sleep apnea was linked to nearly 2× higher risk of developing Parkinson’s disease
• Early use of 𝗖𝗣𝗔𝗣 treatment lowered that risk by about 30%

Lead author Dr. Lee Neilson explains that repeated nighttime oxygen drops may strain neurons. Consistent CPAP use may help protect the brain over time.
