A bittersweet day as we say goodbye to our amazing student intern Mikaela! 🥹👩🏻‍⚕️

Mentoring chiropractic students who are just months from graduating is a meaningful and rewarding task I am honored to take on! Introducing our students to real world situations, from patient care to taking X-rays to building rapport with adults and kids in a busy office is a pivotal part of preparing for graduation. This setting helps students become confident doctors and go out and change the lives of people in their own community!

We wish Mikaela all the best as she walks proudly across the stage to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and goes out into the world to start practicing! We know she will change many lives and be successful wherever she goes! ❤️

We love our chiro kids! Making them feel safe and happy is our goal, besides regulating their nervous system, of course! 🥰

There are lots of ways we help kids feel comfortable in our office:

🚂 We have boxes of toys throughout the office for them to search through and play with.
✋🏼 We never force them to get adjusted if they aren’t ready.
❤️ We offer a for them to keep when appropriate to “break the ice” when introducing our activator adjusting tool.
💜 We have stickers at the front desk for them when their visit is over.
👩🏻 Kids can sit with, lay on or even be held by mom or dad when getting adjusted.
👇🏼We will let them stay on the floor and come down to them if they need a little more time getting acclimated or have special needs.
🖤 We will turn the lights or music off for children with sensory or special needs.
🎶 We will sing with them or for them or turn on their favorite music if warranted!

We are so grateful for your trust in caring for your little ones. 🙏🏻

It is our mission to build rapport with your children and make them feel comfortable, happy and safe in our care! Every child is so different, but I think we do a pretty good job!😉

When we have moments like this… a little cutie who has been seeing us since he was a baby… asking for a hug to say goodbye, it is truly heartwarming! 🥰

Grateful to make these connections with these amazing little humans! 🙏🏻
