In the morning, do you feel pain in your heel? This is how to fix it! Morning heel pain is one of the most common things I treat. Oftentimes, patients complain of severe, stabbing pain in their heel or arch that is most severe with their initial steps and then gradually gets better within a few more steps. This pain may be due to a condition called plantar fasciitis.

The plantar fascia is a thick band of fibrous tissue that originates near the heel and inserts near the ball of the foot. When inflamed it can become extremely painful when it becomes stretched by your body weight as you step down. The plantar fascia shortens when you are not bearing weight, such as during sleep or prolonged sitting. When you rise and go to step down, the pain you feel is the shortened, inflamed plantar fascia pulling away from its origin at the heel - OUCH!

There are many different things you can do to help with this pain. Check out the video and be sure to post your questions in the comment section below!

Repost from

Meeting the Incredible at where he signed my belt alongside and signatures. I have saved this belt since I was 14 years old. Lee’ and Dorian’s signatures were both from when they were competing. Now, the next generation of bodybuilding is in great hands with professionals such as Hunter. Thank you so much, Hunter for talking the time to visit with me and signing my belt. It really meant a lot to me and I look forward to seeing you again soon for you to add the “finishing touch” to your signature 😉
