Meet Elouise everyone!
Elouise is a 9 yr old patient of ours here at Platte County Pediatrics that we have cared for since she was born in 2015, and one that reminds us of why we do what we do.
“When I was pregnant with my first daughter, my husband had only one request — that we use Dr. Lowry for pediatric care. We did, and we continued with him when our second daughter, Elouise, was born.
At her one-year well check, Dr. Lowry heard something while listening to her heart. Without alarming me, he immediately scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist for the next day. By that afternoon, we had a bed at Children’s Mercy.
As the whirlwind unfolded, Dr. Lowry was with us every step of the way. He visited Elouise after her heart surgery and, as always, seemed to know everyone at the hospital from his years of experience there.
As she’s grown, he’s continued to check in on her—and on me. He’s listened patiently to my fears as I’ve raised a heart patient who has now become a healthy, thriving 9-year-old girl.
My daughter was growing collateral blood vessels around her narrowing aortic valve to save her own life. Dr. Lowry recognized it, acted swiftly, and truly helped save her.”❤️
