Dr. Basavaraj from NYU Langone presented on the new U.S. bronchiectasis guidelines at the CHEST Conference. Because he referred to them as preliminary, I didn’t feel comfortable sharing them at that time although I did explain the framework for how the team developed their key clinical questions.

Now, someone has brought to my attention that an article summarizing the guidelines has been published by a third party and I feel comfortable sharing it🙂

Remember, this is just the beginning, so please don’t be disappointed if it feels limited in scope. And if I may say so, the article is a bit confusing in spots, but the core information is there!

During Respiratory Care Week, we celebrate the heart and dedication that RTs bring to patient care every day.

Remembering her tinme in the field, 's Brandi Keating shared the following:

"I remember one horrible RSV season - we were packed with kids. The kids hated the masks, so I didn't wear mine and got horribly sick. Even with all that, I had parents take the time to recognize the care I gave - they could tell how much I loved their kids! I love being an RT!"

It’s these small, meaningful moments of care and connection that remind us why RTs make a difference - one breath at a time.

During Respiratory Care Week, we celebrate the compassion, skill, and dedication that RTs bring to patient care every day.

Monaghan Medical's Toni Sloane shares one of her most memorable moments: "I remember a young lady, about 18 years old, who came into the ER in a full-blown asthma attack. She was by herself and terrified. I held her hand, spoke slowly, and helped her breathe. I was as scared as she was, but we got through it. This is what Respiratory Therapists do - they take the time to CARE!"

These life-changing moments remind us why RTs are such an essential part of healthcare - one breath at a time.
