The Foundation was established in 1990 to provide an important additional facet to healthcare - Community Outreach. The Foundation annually funds programs, which provide and support community health education and wellness as well as patient care enhancement initiatives. The vision of the Foundation at CVPH is to:

Encourage innovative proposals to cost effectively promote health and health education. Support worthwhile programs, which will improve the health and wellness of area residents. Stuffed with Gratitude!

A huge thank you to PetSmart for their incredibly generous donation of 500 stuffed animals to our community! We just barely managed to fit them all into one car — but every plush friend made it safely to CVPH.

These stuffed animals will be shared by our lab team, offering comfort and smiles to children when they come in for lab draws. Sometimes, a soft hug makes all the difference.

We’re so grateful to PetSmart for helping us bring a little extra kindness and comfort to our youngest patients. 💚

We’re inviting our community to come together for an inspiring evening focused on heart health, connection, and impact at Stepping Out for Your Heart.

The night will feature a heart-healthy dinner, live and silent auctions, interactive wellness experiences, and powerful stories from survivors and medical professionals. Cardiologists Dr. Joel Wolkowicz and Dr. Eric Gauthier will also share insights during their presentation, “The Heart and Its Care Close to Home.”

National Wear Red Day – February 6, 2026 ❤️

Join us in wearing red for a cause that hits close to home. In honor of National Wear Red Day, The Foundation of CVPH is hosting a Wear Red fundraiser to support cardiology patients and those at risk for heart attack or stroke right here in the North Country.

Where your support goes:
Funds raised will support the CVPH Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab Project, a $1.3M initiative to build a larger, expanded rehab facility. The new space will:
• Double patient capacity
• Create dedicated check-in and stretching areas
• Launch a pulmonary rehab program
• Allow program graduates to continue exercising and maintaining progress

• Donations can be dropped off at The Foundation office or scheduled for pickup

Heart disease doesn’t look the same for everyone — but small actions can make a big difference. Wearing red is a simple way to show support and help improve heart health in our community.

We’re incredibly grateful to the employees of BCI – Lakeside Division for raising $2,400 through their No Shave November fundraiser in support of the FitzPatrick Cancer Center.

This generous effort was made possible by the combined support of BCI corporate, local management, and employees, all coming together for an important cause.

The funds raised will help cancer center patients who are unable to afford their prescriptions and assist with travel expenses to and from the Cancer Center — easing the burden during an already difficult time.

Community-driven generosity like this has a meaningful and lasting impact on the health and well-being of our neighbors. Thank you, BCI – Lakeside Division, for making a difference! 💚
