Covid vaccine update:
Playa Vista Pediatrics anticipates getting the Covid vaccine in the office in the next 2 weeks.
There are Covid vaccine doses available to kids 5-11 years of age at local pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens. You can make an appointment online on their websites.
If you would like your child(ren) to get it at our office, please call us in two weeks.
All children 5-11 will get the vaccine somewhere. There will be enough for everyone!

Covid vaccine for 5-11 year olds is coming soon! We are anticipating after 11/04/21 when the ACIP and CDC give final approval, then shipping time. Please stay tuned! We can't make vaccine appointments until the shipments arrive but we will keep you posted...

Flu vaccine is available now - please call for an appointment. We have both shot and Flu Mist (nasal spray).

Covid vaccine for children 5-11 years old may be available after the end of October. Please watch for an announcement when it has FDA emergency use approval.

Covid vaccines for 12 and older!!!
We hope to provide them at the office soon but in the meantime, please go to www.my turn.ca.gov to sign up for a vaccine. Check the major pharmacy chains in your area like CVS and Walgreens. Call us with questions!

Holiday travel season is upon us. Please use caution and take care when traveling during this unprecedented Covid surge. Drive when possible instead of flying. Virtual gatherings are safest and in person gatherings should be limited to less than 10 people if at all possible. Meals outside are safer than inside. Masks and social distancing are essential. Stay safe and healthy everyone!

Two updates from Playa Vista Pediatrics!!!
1. Flu vaccine will be available soon. Please cal us in mid September to book an appointment for your child’s flu shot!
2. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Danielle Fernandes to PV Peds! Dr. Fernandes joins us after spending 7 years working at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She is originally from Southern California. She attended college at UCLA, medical school in the Caribbean, pediatric residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York and then worked at CHLA. Dr. Fernandes and her husband have a 19-month-old son and live in the South Bay. She is a welcome addition to our practice!

Update on our office in Covid 19 times: starting Monday 5/18/20, we will resume seeing healthy children for check ups in the office. Sick visits will be done on video (a "virtual" visit) to minimize exposures but some sick visits may come into the office. Please call our office to schedule a check up for your child.
