or up to 45 residents. This small environment gives the staff and residents the opportunity to develop close relationships with each other. It is a place where everyone knows your name, and knows your preferences and desires. Today just felt… good.

A bundle of love walking around, spreading smiles 🐾
Sitting with residents—, real conversations, warm human interaction. Warm smiles that can light up an entire city.
Manicures, warm water, foot spa—people relaxing, memories being made, old memories being shared, taking a break from everything and just embracing the warmth of a fluff bundle of joy and humanity ❤️

This is what keeps us going.
This is why we pour our hearts into what we do—showing up every day and smiling while we at it.

One knows when it takes hold.

The room shifts its tone.
Voices rise where silence once lingered.
Even those who would ordinarily refrain… take part.

No insistence. No display.
Only a well-timed kind approach, rightly placed.

Such is the work of Recreation Therapy—
to restore, in quiet measure, a sense of self.

I don’t run “activities.”
Nope, you didn’t read that wrong.

We interrupt decline.

Every time a resident chooses to show up instead of staying in bed — that’s a win.
Every time someone who wasn’t very talkative starts joking and smiling again — that’s therapy.
Every time our room gets louder with laughter and giggles, more alive — that’s us doing our job right.

This isn’t only about bingo or calendars or about keeping people busy.

It’s about fighting isolation, one moment at a time.
Going that extra mile to see that smile that makes it all worth it at the end of the day.

And yeah, it looks like fun, because no rule ever said that therapy shouldn’t be fun and inviting.

At the end, when in doubt, always do the kind thing ❤️ and you shall never be wrong.

Today brought some extra smiles to Mission at Alpine 🐰🌷

The Easter Bunny made a special visit, spending time with our residents, sharing laughs, and creating some really sweet moments together. From cheerful conversations to plenty of photo-worthy smiles, it was a day full of connection and joy.

Mission at Alpine Rehabilitation Center has received the 2023 Pinnacle Customer Experience Award for the second consecutive year!

What does this mean?

Every year, Pinnacle Quality Insight awards clients who have excelled at providing a superior customer experience for their patients/residents. Receiving a Customer Experience Award is no small feat. Out of the 2,700 care providers and the 150,000 customer interviews that Pinnacle conducts each year, only those that are the 85th percentile or higher receive this award.

We had such an amazing week here at Mission at Alpine celebrating our wonderful residents and staff for Nursing Home Week! We had a fun time dressing up for spirit week and ended the week with an outside luau with delicious food and a raffle for our staff!
