In traditional Hawaiian culture, Ti Leaves are considered to be sacred to Lono, the Hawaiian God of fertility and Laka, the Goddess of Hula. The leaves are also used by Kahuna priests to ward off evil and bring in good spirits.
It will be three weeks tomorrow, when I delivered our sweet babe into the world at just shy of 8 weeks. To hold this babe in my hands was devastating and heart breaking. I will never forget that moment.
Though sadness filled my heart, so did gratitude and love! I was not angry at my body or God for what happened, I simply didn’t understand why I was learning this lesson - then I remembered the intentions and words I chose for this year, and they are: LEARN and GROW!
I share this about the Ti Leaf plant, and my miscarriage experience because I believe it’s important to talk about the hard things. I believe it’s important to find the lesson in each experience and try to understand how we can learn and grow from it!
My husband and I decided that we wanted to give this baby a life on earth, even if it would not be in human form. We have decided to burry our sweet baby with a ti leaf plant that it may receive rest and protection and continually be a bridge to welcome good spirits into our lives and to ward off the evil ones.
I have my days and moments of sadness, and sometimes they happen when they least expect it, but I am surrounded by love, I am surrounded by strength, and I am so grateful for the beauty of this earthly experience to feel, learn, and grow.
This will be my second angel baby, and how beautiful will that reunion be in the next life to come. I know they are with me always, and to feel of their divine love and guidance is a blessing to me.
If you made it this far in the post, GOD BLESS YOU!
In honor of mothers and fathers who have experienced a miscarriage, I am gifting a couples session to “mom and dad” who have experienced a loss of miscarriage within these last 3 months. If you or someone you know could be blessed with a healing session of Foot Zone, please send me a DM and I will send you a nomination form. You may nominate yourself, and or someone you know - session must be scheduled for December 2023.
