Carrie Balick, MS, CCC-SLP, is passionate about AAC and supporting individuals with complex communication needs. With 21 years as an AAC specialist, her focus remains the same: making communication accessible for every client. Outside of her work, she enjoys roller skating 🛼

She currently works with individuals across all stages, from birth to 5, school-age, and young adults, supporting communication that grows with them.

Her approach supports functional, meaningful communication in everyday routines and activities, and is family-centered and built on connection.

We had such a great time at Walnut Creek’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Resource Fair last Saturday! 💙

The ProAACtive SLP loved connecting with families, service providers, and community members, sharing resources and discussing ways to support communication and language development.
Our AAC posters were a hit, and it was wonderful seeing so many people excited to learn how they can support communication in everyday moments.
