Gentri had the honors to tell her brothers some VERY EXCITING news today!! Gentri was approved for a special wish for her and our family!!

The DEATON’S are going to DISNEY WORLD and we get to enjoy a week of Joy with everyone!! She also was approved to swim with Dolphins, go to Universal and Seaworld!! To say they’re excited is an understatement!! They seem to be most excited about going on a plane right now!! Jason and I are just overjoyed for all of them!! I can’t think of 4 children that deserve this more and a wonderful man that deserves to enjoy and cherish these amazing memories we will get to make with our family!! We are just so happy for her!!

Gentri has another week of radiation still and then we will be ringing that bell to celebrate and to start planning for a trip they will never forget!💜

As always I want to thank all of you for all of the love! The prayers! The surprise mail and just all the support you all have given sweet Gentri and our family! We appreciate you all! We feel very blessed and loved by all of you! 💜💜💜

Day 1 of Radiation is done!!! 🙏💜

Everyday Monday through Friday we will make the trip to Cincinnati for the next 3 weeks!!

Gentri has made an amazing girly playlist for the rides!😆💜

We are counting down the days!! Our girl is so very close to being able to say I’m DONE with Cancer treatment!

Today we made the trip to Cincinati Childrens Hospital to start planning for radiation!! We met the wonderful team and they welcomed us with open arm! They showed us Gentri’s first scan back in October and it honestly brought tears to my eyes when we saw exactly how much cancer was in our sweet girl!! Then they showed us the scan from a couple weeks ago!! More tears for this mommas eyes!! How great is our god!! 🙌👏 💜

The dark spots are meant to be there on the most recent scan. Those are her organs and her scan is negative for cancer cells at this time! Praise the lord! The weight that has been lifted is tremendous and we are so ready to put this long tough journey behind us!!

We will plan to start radiation in the next couple weeks and Gentri will receive 14 treatments. That’s Monday through Friday for about 3 weeks.

The Doctors asked what Gentri loved doing before the Cancer and she said running. She said I’m hoping to get to run for Track season. Her doctor looked at her and said do it!! You can definitely run in Track!! The smile that gave Gentri was everything! She’s coming back friends and family! She’s ready to get back to being Gentri at school! I’m so happy for her!

Gentri and I have a relationship now that is stronger than I’ve ever had with a person. I’ve seen her fight harder than anyone I know. I’ve seen her struggle and I’ve seen her beat the odds over and over! She’s one of a kind! I’m going to miss our daily talks and eye rolls 🙃😁 But I’m also over the moon for her to be a normal happy moody teenager again💜

GENTRI IS CANCER FREE!!!!! 💜🙌👏🥰

I don’t have the words right now!! All I can say is we are going to celebrate this day forever!!!! All the prayers and wishes have been granted!! Thank you everyone who has helped in ANY way!!! Our family will forever be grateful!!
We still must do radiation for preventative measures, but we know we are almost DONE!!! For now we are going to party and celebrate our GENTRI 🙏💜

So much to smile about today!! We are coming up on our last inpatient day! We are going home later today and hope to never have to have another chemo inpatient stay EVER!! Gentri is slowly becoming Gentri again!! She has her personality BACK! I’ve missed your spunky self sweet girl!! I don’t need a scan to tell me that you are kicking cancers butt! I see it everyday!

We’re smiling because we were told Gentri can start to transition back to school AND extracurricular activities!! The joy this brought her was beautiful to see!! Now it may be difficult with radiation but we will try our best to get her back in school some and for her to feel apart of her track team!! I’m so excited for her!! God is so very good! Our prayers are being answered and we are feeling this heavy weight being lifted everyday! We still have a bit to go through, but we know we are so close to being able to say the cancer is GONE!

Gentri also was told she can start planning her WISH!! If anyone deserves an amazing wish it’s our girl!! The best part is she gets to give it to her family! She already has some great ideas and we can’t wait to celebrate as a family when that time comes!! 🙌❤️

As always thank you everyone who does all the things!! Watching our kids! Taking care of our four legged child! Making meals and always being their for us! We cannot say thank you enough!!

Today we met our radiation team down in Cincinnati!! They welcomed us to the family and gave us all the info on what the next step is for our Sweet Gentri!!

We found out Gentri will be getting proton therapy! This is a safer radiation and has way less side effects! Because Gentri had some large areas of Cancer that is why the radiation will be needed. It will help in the future and have a better chance of the Cancer never coming back!! We have lots of test and new doctors to meet before we start probably in about a month! What we do know is for sure we will have 14 rounds of radiation and possibly up to 20. Radiation will be everyday Monday through Friday for 3-5 weeks. This doesn’t sound fun but we are so happy to see the end near!! We can do this!

Since we know we are going to spend lots of days soon down here we explored and found lots of great places to shop and have fun when we have to make the drive! Daddy joined us girls today!

Tomorrow we head into Dayton for Gentri’s LAST CHEMO round!!! We made it! She is so ready to be all done and to start transitioning back into a normal routine! Dad and I are so proud of her! Keep us in your prayers over the next month or so! Lots of days driving back and forth. Pray we stay safe and for our upcoming scans to give us GREAT news!

We were back today for our day 8 chemo!! Daddy was able to join today!! ❤️ Gentri was home for the holidays and she was loved by all!! We were so happy to have our girl home! She made the best cheesecake for me and a scrumptious sugar cream pie for daddy! It was so important for her to do something special for us! Her huge heart is one of the many things that makes Gentri so amazing! I will have to say it’s the best Cheesecake Ive ever tasted🥰 Thank you everyone who made the holidays possible for our family! We cannot thank you all enough!! God is so very good!🙏🙌

Gentri is home! She’s feeling a little icky so we’re hanging out on the couch watching weird little boy tv shows. Only one more round left! Now it’s Christmas time! We are feeling blessed to be home all together ❤️.

Round 4 of chemo here we come!!! Gentri received this blanket this morning from family and we LOVE it💜🙌 Gentri you will overcome!! Let’s do this round and go home so we can enjoy Christmas together at home!!⛄️❄️
