The news from the Middle East today is heavy, and for many in our community, it is deeply personal. We know that witnessing global conflict can bring up intense anxiety, grief, and feelings of helplessness.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, please know that you are not alone. It is okay to be affected by what is happening in the world.

During times like these, we encourage you to prioritize your well-being:
🔹 Limit your news intake: It is healthy to set boundaries for how much information you consume.
🔹 Stay grounded: Focus on your immediate environment and the people right in front of you.
🔹 Acknowledge your feelings: Give yourself permission to feel whatever comes up, without judgment.

Our doors at Oak Creek Relational Counseling Center are open. If you need a safe space to process these emotions, we are here to support you. You don’t have to carry this by yourself.

Is the word "narcissist" being overused, or are we finally just waking up to toxic behavior?

It seems like every relationship advice column is filled with warnings about narcissists. While it’s helpful to have a vocabulary for our pain, labeling everyone can actually make it harder to navigate our real-world relationships.

In our newest blog post for Oak Creek Relational Counseling Center, we break down:
✅ The difference between a "rough patch" and a personality disorder.
✅ Why healthy narcissism is actually a good thing.
✅ Strategies for living with, dating, or working with high-conflict personalities.
✅ How to use the "Grey Rock" method to protect your energy.

Whether you're dealing with a difficult boss or a spouse who seems stuck in self-centered patterns, understanding the spectrum is the first step toward clarity.
