​These leaders have been training weekly to transform the field of ABA—and specifically the culture here at Sonnenberg. Their work on the Care Cycle and the implementation of micro-skills is paving the way for how we support our staff and families.

This month, I felt that I was successful in demonstrating strong teamwork by communicating clearly and consistently with others. I aimed to support my coworkers by offering help when needed, removing obstacles, and contributing to shared goals rather than focusing only on my own tasks. I remained solution-oriented during challenges, helping move conversations toward productive outcomes. By meeting deadlines and following through on commitments, I built trust and reliability within the team. I also welcomed input and feedback, attempting to ensure that others felt heard and valued. 🥳 👍🏾

I love to see the flow of a team - understanding the in’s and out’s of how one another works, ensuring safety, client progression from it, and understanding the needs of clients/staff without even needing to communicate. Seeing teams flow effortlessly with those qualities, and attempting to always ensure I bring them, is always my top priority! 💜 ❤️

Hi! I’m Alexa Nakvosas, I have been a BCBA for 4 years and have worked with individuals with disabilities for 9 years. I started out in special education and love having a background in education and the clinic. It allows me to see a well-rounded picture of each individual's goals and day to day lives! I got into ABA after feeling lost and clueless on how to help when working with individuals with behaviors in the schools. As I learned more, and got more confident, I became so inspired to help others feel confident working with individuals with behaviors. Especially families whose lives revolve around their loved ones daily behaviors. I am inspired everyday by the joy I see in my clients and I love helping them access that more and work through barriers that prevent that joy from coming through in all situations. I am a mom to two under two and it has really helped my perspective in the field. I love spending time with family, running 🎽, and reading 📚!
