Doctor of Optometry When we do eye exams, we refuse to cut corners. We always schedule ample time so you will never feel rushed.

We provide complete eye care for both adults and children. Our comprehensive eye examinations check your eyes inside and out for glaucoma, cataracts and all other eye diseases as well as high blood pressure, diabetes and other systemic diseases. Your visual skills and abilities are carefully evaluated and we pride ourselves on the accuracy of our eyeglass prescriptions. A full range of contact lens services, including hard to fit lenses for keratoconus, is also provided in our office. Lastly, stylish sunwear can be found here to protect you from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Meet Dr. Katelyn Philyaw!

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Philyaw to the Pleasant View Eye Care family!

A recent graduate of the Kentucky College of Optometry, Dr. Philyaw brings a passion for primary care optometry and pediatrics — and she loves caring for patients of all ages, from little ones to adults. After completing externships at the Vision Therapy Institute in South Carolina and Aprima Eye Consultants in Mt. Juliet, she’s excited to begin her career alongside Dr. Weatherford, serving the growing Pleasant View community.

With two doctors in the practice daily, Pleasant View Eye Care is excited to offer more availability for our growing practice.

When she's not in the clinic, you’ll find her behind a sewing machine quilting, crafting, and creating! Help us give Dr. Philyaw a warm welcome!
