Sometimes life brings situations that are incredibly hard to understand.

A beautiful family in our community is going through something no one ever expects. After five years in recovery, a husband and father who worked incredibly hard to rebuild his life has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Both he and his wife are in recovery and have built a loving home together. He stepped up to help raise her children as his own, they have a child together and they are now expecting a baby boy.

They never imagined they would be preparing to welcome a new child while also facing such a devastating diagnosis.

We’ve created a baby registry to help support them as they prepare for their little one. If you feel moved to help, any support would mean so much during this time.

Let’s show this family the same strength and support that recovery communities are known for. ❀️

It's easy to start your Baby Registry with the Amazon Registry Checklist, plus get a free Welcome Box, 15% discount, free shipping and free 1-year returns.

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 11 Years of Angels in Motion! πŸŽ‰

Eleven years ago, a mission was born β€” to meet people exactly where they are, to love without judgment, and to walk alongside those experiencing homelessness and substance use disorder with compassion, dignity, and hope.
What began as simple outreach has grown into a powerful movement of community, recovery, and transformation β€” and here in New Jersey, that impact continues every single day.

We have served warm meals on cold nights, handed out hundreds of thousands of blessing bags filled with essentials, resource lists, and handwritten notes of encouragement, and distributed life-saving Narcan to our community.

We’ve provided transportation to treatment, court, and recovery events. We’ve helped thousands of individuals access recovery housing and supportive services. We opened our Community Wellness Center in Pleasantville β€” a safe place for recovery support, resources, clothing, pantry support, and holistic healing.

One of the most beautiful parts of this journey is watching people who once stood in line at outreach now standing beside us as volunteers β€” giving back, sharing hope, and walking others toward recovery. That is the heart of Angels in Motion: people helping people.

To our volunteers, donors, partners, and every person who believes in compassion without judgment β€” thank you. You are part of this story.
Here’s to eleven years of hope, healing, and love in action β€” and many more to come. πŸ’™

βœ¨πŸ’› 10 Months Strong, Jenny! πŸ’›βœ¨

Today we celebrate our very own Jenny Mangano β€” our clothing closet extraordinaire and dedicated office volunteer β€” on 10 months of recovery!

We are incredibly proud of her and how far she has come since the day we first met her.

Jenny will be the first to tell you what it meant to receive a blessing bag when she had absolutely nothing. That small act of outreach β€” compassion, empathy, and love β€” mattered. And today, she is living proof of what happens when people are met with dignity instead of judgment.

She went from receiving support… to becoming support. From client… to volunteer. From surviving… to serving.

This is why we do what we do.
This is the power of lived experience.
This is what an office filled with love looks like.

Watching someone step into service and begin helping others β€” there truly are no words for how powerful that is.

Yay Jenny! We are beyond proud of you. Keep shining. ✨

πŸ’šπŸͺ The Sweetest Kind of Kindness πŸͺπŸ’š

A very special thank you to our sweet friend Adeline and her family for dropping off girl scout cookies to the office today. Adeline shared that she wanted to give cookies to the folks we served on Thanksgiving β€” and her family made that wish come true. How incredibly thoughtful and kind is that? πŸ’›

These cookies will be shared with neighbors visiting our food pantry and with our clients living in recovery homes β€” bringing a little extra joy and sweetness to their day.

Adeline and her family have served alongside us before, and their hearts for service truly shine.
Thank you for spreading kindness in such a beautiful way. The world is better because of it. ✨

πŸ’› Grateful for Fernwood Middle School! πŸ’›

A huge thank you to the incredible students from Fernwood Middle School and their French class for making the most beautiful cookies and heartfelt notes for our community.

With the help of their Head Cook, these thoughtful students decorated cookies and wrote inspiring messages β€” in French with English translations β€” to spread kindness and put smiles on faces.
What a meaningful way to learn about adjectives while also learning about compassion, empathy, and service to others.

Your creativity, love, and intention truly make a difference. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. πŸ‡«πŸ‡·βœ¨πŸ’™
