🎃🎨 Today was a fun and creative day at our community as residents gathered to paint pumpkins for our upcoming Halloween display! 🖌️👻 But the real highlight was when one resident decided to get extra creative paint on the face of our regional director of operations! 😂👏 We love seeing our residents express their creativity and sense of humor. We had one of our favorite furry friend, Otis, visit our nursing home to spread some love and joy to our residents! Otis is a certified therapy pet who brings smiles and comfort wherever he goes. The residents couldn't wait to enjoy some quality time with this friendly and lovable pup! 🐾❤️

Our Upside-Down Philosophy

Accura HealthCare is an Iowa based healthcare company that manages and operates 32 skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, 13 assisted living centers, and 1 independent center. Accura embraces an upside-down organization philosophy that places residents, patients, and direct care employees at the very top of the organizational chart. In addition, Accura chooses not to be referenced as a corporate office, but rather a Resource Center. The lower an employee is on the chart (thus having more leadership) the more responsibility they have to be a resource to those above them.

Accura’s organizational philosophy creates an upside-down triangle that is reflected in the company's logo. Also visible within the triangle of the logo is one person caring for another; this represents the meaning of the company name. "Accura" is Latin, meaning to take care of or to give attention to.
