One of the greatest teachers I have ever learned from passed away last week. I count myself incredibly lucky to have learned myofascial release from John F Barnes.
I have practiced this therapy for nearly twenty years, and each time I use it, I’m in awe of the effectiveness of the therapy.
He taught me that presence is everting, to quiet my mind, and develop a felt sense beyond what I could physically feel. There really are not words to portray the magnitude of his teachings.
Sometimes I think about things like the butterfly effect, or even just how our light spreads like lightning when we let it shine to help others find their way through the dark. I think about the thousands of therapists he taught, and the thousands of patients each one will treat in their lifetime….it’s magnificent.
