Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, but early screening and support can make a big difference. Through NC WISEWOMAN at MTW, eligible women can receive free or low-cost heart health screenings, health coaching, and help connecting to care and medications.

If you’re ages 35–64, uninsured or underinsured, and meet income guidelines, these services may be available to you right here at the MTW District Health Department.

Through the NC Breast & Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) at MTW, eligible women can receive free breast and cervical cancer screenings, including exams, mammograms, Pap and HPV tests, and follow-up diagnostic services if needed.

If you are uninsured or underinsured, meet income guidelines, and fall within the eligible age ranges, help may be available to you close to home.
