Creating a mind-body connection is so powerful.

The body knows (it’s where our intuition lives). If we can quiet our minds enough to pay attention and listen, we create a connection between mind & body.

This connection can guide us to what is most authentic for us. It will lead us to what we want to do, not what we think we should do.

Single Leg Stretch is great for stretching low back and hamstrings.

Give it a try:
- Start lying on your back with legs extended long.
- Draw one knee in toward your chest.
- Use your hands on your shin to gently draw your knee in closer or draw it up and out toward your shoulder.
- Hold for 5-10 breaths, then repeat on the other side.

Pro tip: try pointing and flexing your feet as your hold this stretch.

Multiple studies have shown that Reiki can be effective in reducing pain. A 2018 study completed by the National Institute of Health (NIH) reported that Reiki resulted in a statistically significant reduction in pain scores compared to a control group.

Puppy pose is amazing for stretching your mid-back. It’s also a great alternative for Child’s Pose if that one is too much for your knees.

Pro tip: pull your belly button up toward your spine to intensify the stretch.

Give it a try:
- Start on hands and knees.
- Walk your hands forward as far as you can reach.
- Lower your head between your arms letting your neck relax
- Slightly shift your hips back to lengthen your spine.
- Hold for 5-10 breaths.

This period of extending darkness will continue until the Winter Solstice in December.

As we experience this growing darkness, it is a great reminder to look for light and to create our own light.

Reflect on what lights you up and find a way to bring more of that into your life over the next couple of months.✨
