Let's Talk about It- Articulation Therapy!

In our speech therapy sessions we believe in play based fun to address articulation. Articulation is the production of sounds. We use various toys and games to practice specific sounds like "ch" in "cherries." Therapists also use tactile cues to help correct formation of specific sounds.

If you have any concerns about your articulation speech skills, come check us out!

Point of View

When you're in physical therapy with Sarah!

The vestibular system, located in the inner ear, detects head movement, gravity, and spatial orientation to control balance and equilibrium. It also detects acceleration changes.

If someone is having trouble walking, we still find ways to get their body moving and experiencing acceleration while having fun- in this case, as a sled dog team!

Are you concerned that your child is not walking at their first birthday?

Let's get our information correct.

Independent walking should be achieved by approximately 16 months of age, so do not be discouraged. You've got time!

However, if by their first birthday your child is not standing at furniture, squatting at furniture, or side stepping along furniture then come visit one of our physical therapists for purposeful play activities to help with motor skills and independence!

Schedule PT evaluation today!
