Feeling a little extra lucky this St. Patrick’s Day? 🍀

At Integrated Therapy Services, we believe the real “luck” for a child is having the right support for their nervous system and development. That’s why our therapists are trained in the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) Method — an approach that helps the nervous system respond more efficiently to the demands of everyday life.

When foundational reflex patterns are supported, children can experience improvements in areas like:

🍀 Regulation – helping the body stay calm, alert, and organized
🍀 Sensory Processing– improving how the brain interprets and responds to sensory input
🍀 Coordination & Body Awareness – supporting purposeful, intentional movement
🍀 Attention & Learning Readiness– building a stronger neurological foundation for focus and learning
🍀 Postural Control & Stability – strengthening the foundation needed for sitting, standing, handwriting, and fine motor tasks

Sometimes progress isn’t about luck — it’s about supporting the brain and body at the foundational level.

Here’s to helping kids find their pot of gold through growth, confidence, and stronger foundations. 🌈🍀

At Integrated Therapy Services, we believe every child deserves care that is individualized, intentional, and rooted in approaches that truly support how the brain and body develop.

That’s why our team is trained in a variety of specialty treatments designed to meet children where they are and help them build the foundational skills they need to thrive.

Here are just a few of the approaches we offer:

✨ Masgutova Method (MNRI) – A neurosensorimotor approach that supports reflex integration to improve regulation, coordination, and foundational skills.

📚The Apple Group Connections: OG in 3D – A science-of-reading based program designed to support individuals with dyslexia and language-based learning differences.

🔤 Spelling 2 Communicate – A spelling-based communication method that helps individuals with motor planning differences express their thoughts through purposeful letter selection.

💡 LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning) – A language system that uses consistent motor patterns on a speech-generating device to build independent communication for nonspeaking individuals.

🧠 Traditional Therapy Services – Skill-based therapy targeting functional goals such as motor development, language, and daily living skills through structured practice.

Every child’s path looks different, and our goal is to build the right plan for each individual child and family.

Specialty treatments. Individualized care. Real progress.

✨ We have two new faces to celebrate at Integrated Therapy Services! ✨

Please join us in welcoming Kellie Tate, our newest Clinic Coordinator in Walnut Ridge! Kellie will be the friendly face you see when checking your child in for therapy and the helpful voice you’ll hear when you call or text about scheduling. She’s already doing a wonderful job helping families feel welcomed and supported when they walk through our doors.

We’re also excited to share that Allie Barnes has officially accepted a position with us after graduation! 🎓 Allie is currently completing her clinical rotation as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) student, and she has already been such a great addition to our team. Her enthusiasm for helping kids grow stronger and more confident shines through every day, and we’re thrilled she’ll be continuing her journey with us.

Help us give Kellie and Allie a big ITS welcome! 💙

If you’ve ever watched your child struggle to sound out simple words…

If homework ends in tears…

If they avoid reading because it feels hard and exhausting…

You know how heavy that can feel as a parent.

Bentlee started therapy with us in February 2022 with a profound speech sound disorder — 94 articulation errors. After a full year of traditional articulation therapy, his errors decreased by 10.

He was working hard. His therapist was working hard. But we knew something deeper needed to be addressed.

In September 2023, we shifted to literacy-based articulation therapy using the Connections curriculum. Instead of just practicing sounds, we strengthened the foundation — phonological awareness, sound-symbol mapping, and the structure of his sound system.

Today, Bentlee is on Lesson 28 and has only 16 articulation errors remaining. That’s 78 fewer errors than where he began.

More importantly? His speech is clearer. His reading is stronger. The pieces are clicking.

This is what happens when therapy targets the root, not just the surface.

To our schools: this is a powerful supportive service for students who need extra, structured reinforcement to achieve reading success.

To parents of struggling readers: there is a path forward. When we build a rock-solid foundation, reading becomes mo re automatic and less effortful, and confidence starts to grow.
And to our therapists, your advanced training and commitment to excellence changes lives.

This level of progress doesn’t happen by chance. It happens because you refuse to settle for “good enough.”

This week we’re still celebrating 🎉

A BIG shoutout to a few more of our therapists who are now certified in Apple Group Connections — we’re so proud of the work they’ve put in to better serve our kids!

In the spirit of Dr. Seuss Week, we’re reminded that reading opens doors, sparks imagination, and builds confidence for life. But strong reading skills don’t happen by accident, they’re built on the Science of Reading, explicit instruction, and intentional practice.

We are proud to support our local schools by providing specialized, one-on-one intervention for students who need extra time, repetition, and individualized attention. When we strengthen reading, we also strengthen written language, comprehension, spelling, and even speech clarity. It’s all connected.

To our schools: we’re here to partner with you.
To the parents who feel unsure how to help their child, you are not alone, and there is a path forward.

Because every child deserves to say, “I can read this.” 💚

Some stories just stick with you, and Jacob’s is one of them.

With permission from his parents- When Jacob started at Integrated Therapy Services in May 2025, he had one clear goal: he wanted to learn how to read so he could pass his driver’s test before graduating high school. When he began our Connections: OG in 3D reading program, he placed at Lesson 1 — out of 60 lessons total.

Since then, he’s attended occupational therapy and speech therapy once a week throughout the school year. In ten months, he has already completed 8 lessons and is making steady, meaningful progress toward his goal.

But here’s what matters even more than the academic growth.

Ten months ago, Jacob spoke with his head down. He avoided eye contact. When asked a question, he often froze.

Today, he walks into our clinic with his head held high and a smile on his face. He engages in conversation. He answers questions with confidence. He believes in himself.

That’s the real win.

If you are a parent of an older child who is struggling to read… if you’ve been told to “just accept where they are”… if you feel like everyone else has quietly moved on, please hear this: PROGRESS IS POSSIBLE. Growth is possible. Confidence can be rebuilt.

It is never too late to learn. And it is never too late for hope.

This week we’re celebrating the magic of reading in honor of Dr. Seuss Week, inspired by Dr. Seuss, and we’re celebrating the amazing kids, families, educators, and therapists who make literacy growth happen every single day. 📚✨

To every child who has come through our doors for reading and handwriting support, we are so proud of you. Learning to read is a big deal. It takes effort, resilience, and a whole lot of practice. Watching our kids gain confidence, decode new words, improve their handwriting, and walk into school feeling more capable is exactly why we do what we do.

We are grateful for our local schools and teachers who pour into students daily. We are honored to partner alongside them by providing specialized, therapeutic support when children need extra reinforcement outside of the classroom. When school and therapy work together, kids win.

We’re also celebrating our team.
• 12 of our therapists have trained with the Apple Group
• All are certified in Connections OG in 3D
• Each completed an intensive 3-month certification program

That level of commitment matters. Not every clinic pursues this kind of advanced training, but our community deserves therapists who are willing to keep learning and growing.

At ITS, reading and handwriting are addressed through speech and occupational therapy, and we strengthen those neural connections through purposeful gross motor movement in physical therapy. We treat the whole child because strong foundations lead to lasting success.

For families seeking additional support beyond the classroom:
We bill insurance for qualifying therapy services, and we also accept remaining EFA funds for reading support outside of the classroom.

Our mission is simple, help kids succeed, stay confident with their peers, and discover the joy of reading.

Happy Dr. Seuss Week! Here’s to turning pages, building brains, and celebrating every small win along the way. 💛📖
