🌷⏰ Spring Forward ⏰🌷

Don’t forget — clocks move forward one hour tonight!
That means longer evenings, more sunshine, and one less hour of sleep.

While you’re changing your clocks, St. Bernards Five Rivers Medical Center encourages you to take a few minutes to refresh your home safety, too:

âś… Replace batteries in smoke & carbon monoxide detectors
âś… Review your medication schedule (especially bedtime meds)
âś… Reset CPAPs, glucose monitors, and medical devices
âś… Check expiration dates on medications
âś… Update emergency contact information

Sleep Tip:
Go to bed 15–20 minutes earlier to help your body adjust.

Spring is a season of renewal — let’s start it safely and rested!

Kindness Behind the Scenes: The Difference Morgan Jones Makes Every Day

Compassion in healthcare is often associated with hands-on patient care, but its impact reaches far beyond clinical spaces. In the Business Office, compassion is just as essential — and Morgan Jones, Business Office Biller, lives that commitment every day.

For Morgan, compassion is rooted in a simple principle she learned early in life: treat others the way you want to be treated. She believes every person deserves kindness, respect, and to feel valued — especially when navigating the financial side of healthcare, which can sometimes feel overwhelming. Whether she’s answering billing questions or resolving account concerns, she approaches each interaction with patience and empathy.

Even on challenging days, Morgan keeps her perspective centered on understanding. She reminds herself that you never truly know what someone else may be facing. By choosing compassion — by offering a kind word or simply taking the time to listen — she not only brightens someone else’s day, but often finds that it brings light to her own as well.

While her work happens behind the scenes, Morgan knows it plays an important role in the patient experience. From processing claims to helping patients understand their statements, her attention to detail and steady support help ensure smoother journeys through the healthcare system. For her, the most rewarding part of the job is knowing that what she does truly makes a difference.

Morgan is also quick to recognize the team around her. She describes her coworkers as some of the most compassionate people she has ever met, sharing that their dedication and positivity make coming to work a joy. That shared commitment to caring — not only for patients but for one another — strengthens the entire organization.

For anyone just beginning a career in healthcare, Morgan offers advice grounded in perseverance and curiosity: try your best, don’t give up, and ask as many questions as you can. Growth comes from learning, and learning starts with asking.

Through her daily interactions, steady dedication, and genuine care for others, Morgan Jones demonstrates that compassion in action isn’t limited to clinical roles. It’s found in every conversation, every problem solved, and every effort made to ensure patients feel respected and supported. And that kind of compassion makes a lasting difference.
