Pocatello Free Clinic

Pocatello Free Clinic Our mission is to provide quality health care to the medically underserved of Southeast Idaho No matter how careful one is, illness is inevitable.

We are currently serving those who are uninsured, 18 & older, and fall below the 300% poverty level. The PFC provides healthcare for a demographic that has few options when this occurs. For this population, paying for a medical exam may displace resources for food and shelter. Individuals often wait to seek care until a condition becomes urgent, affecting long-term health and accumulating bills which they may never pay off. The inability to access quality healthcare greatly affects a person’s health and quality of life. Medical and dental examinations are provided by volunteer health care professionals and a part-time staff physician assistant. Services available to qualifying individuals also include prescription assistance, laboratory work, durable medical goods, resource referrals, health education, wellness classes and patient initiatives, dental exams, dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, and x-rays. Healthy People 2020 envisions a society in which ALL people live long, healthy lives. We pledge to do our part to carry out that vision.

Okay... we fibbed (read till the end).

We estimated that we received over $13,000 for Rake A Difference.

By the time we raked our last lawns, we thought that was it, and we were ready to celebrate.

However, our community had other plans.

Thanks to some very generous contributions, our Rake A Difference fundraiser raised over $40,000.

We're stunned. And, those weren't the only surprising numbers.

We also had 550 volunteers raking lawns, donating supplies, and making the work more worthwhile. To all of our donors and volunteers, thank you. Your contributions will help the Southeastern Idaho community in ways you'd never expect 💛

Everyone, welcome Megan.

Megan is a lot of things: a baker, a reader, and exercise enthusiast.

For the Pocatello Free Clinic, Megan is an oncoming PA student.

Megan studied Physiology at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale before deciding to continue her learning career in Idaho.

Megan works hard to ensure she will have enough experience to help those who need it. She’s a life-long learner, obtaining her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate, Basic Life Support and Mental Health First Aid certificates, as well as shadowing a Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant.

We’re so excited to have Megan on the team. She’ll be an asset in helping us serve the underserved in Southeast Idaho.

We're so grateful to our Southeastern Idaho community!

This year, we raked 117 lawns! And, over $13,000 was donated to the PFC! This truly makes Rake-A-Difference our largest annual fundraiser.

Thank you to our donors and volunteers. Because of you, we're able to continue to provide quality healthcare for free to underserved 💛

More than 300 million people worldwide are living with hepatitis. It claims 1.3 million lives each year, and new data from the World Health Organization shows the number of deaths is rising.

Despite there being a cure for hepatitis C and effective treatment for hepatitis B, most people living with hepatitis don’t know they have it until it is too late.

Testing is the only way to know if you have hepatitis. But for most people, testing remains beyond reach.

We have all the tools needed to eliminate this disease. Hepatitis testing is essential to control and end its spread.

Get tested. Know your status. Protect your health.

Free, confidential, rapid-result hepatitis testing will be offered by the Pocatello Free
Clinic. Check out our Event Calendar at pocatellofreeclinic.org/event-calendar.

It's cold outside, and for our housing-insecure patients, it's not getting warmer.

That's why the Pocatello Free Clinic is accepting blanket donations. Much of our patient base is housing insecure, or otherwise unable to keep warm during the winter.

Feel free to drop off any blankets you're willing to donate at our front office on 1001 N 7th Ave, Suite 155. We're excited to serve our community together.
