Pocatello Free Clinic

Pocatello Free Clinic Our mission is to provide quality health care to the medically underserved of Southeast Idaho No matter how careful one is, illness is inevitable.

We are currently serving those who are uninsured, 18 & older, and fall below the 300% poverty level. The PFC provides healthcare for a demographic that has few options when this occurs. For this population, paying for a medical exam may displace resources for food and shelter. Individuals often wait to seek care until a condition becomes urgent, affecting long-term health and accumulating bills which they may never pay off. The inability to access quality healthcare greatly affects a person’s health and quality of life. Medical and dental examinations are provided by volunteer health care professionals and a part-time staff physician assistant. Services available to qualifying individuals also include prescription assistance, laboratory work, durable medical goods, resource referrals, health education, wellness classes and patient initiatives, dental exams, dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, and x-rays. Healthy People 2020 envisions a society in which ALL people live long, healthy lives. We pledge to do our part to carry out that vision.

Okay... we fibbed (read till the end).

We estimated that we received over $13,000 for Rake A Difference.

By the time we raked our last lawns, we thought that was it, and we were ready to celebrate.

However, our community had other plans.

Thanks to some very generous contributions, our Rake A Difference fundraiser raised over $40,000.

We're stunned. And, those weren't the only surprising numbers.

We also had 550 volunteers raking lawns, donating supplies, and making the work more worthwhile. To all of our donors and volunteers, thank you. Your contributions will help the Southeastern Idaho community in ways you'd never expect 💛
